ShadowGear Army is a World of Warcraft raiding guild made up of seasoned players who have been around since the beta days. Each and every member of our guild is friendly and helpful. You won't find arrogant, selfish people here. What you will find is a guild of friends who enjoy playing the game and love the thrill of raiding. Fun is emphasized while playing, but so is a professional attitude towards progression. We want to have fun first and foremost, this is a game after all, but you won't find a bunch of crass, adolescent people here.
There is no limit to the opportunities in the ShadowGear Army. So there’s no limit to what you can learn and achieve. Whether you're interested in hardcore raiding or just casual raiding and heroics. We do it all:
- 25 man raids 3 days a week
- Optional 5 man heroics, 10 man raids on off days.
- Classic, Burning Crusade, and Wrath raids when interest warrants them
- PvP battlegrounds and arena teams
In addition to regular raids and heroics, you can also expect the following from our friendly, knowledgeable guild mates:
- Assistance in questing, leveling and achievements from experienced members
- Advice on class skills, equipment, enchantments and gems from people who know everything about their class
- General advice on just about anything else World of Warcraft related
ShadowGear Army has many advantages over other guilds, including:
- Guild bank with many tabs, filled with gems, enchantment materials, potion and food crafting items, tons of "Bind on Equip" items, Darkmoon Fair cards and just about everything you could need in your adventures
- Multiple guild ranks (initiate, member, raider, officer). In addition to your main character you are more than welcome to invite friends (who will have the rank of "friend") and any or all of your alternate characters
- ShadowGear Army uses a Loot Council system for 25 man raids. Typically 5 man heroics and 10 man raids use the standard rolling system
- Just about every profession is covered in ShadowGear Army. Most of our members are Grand Masters of their trade.
ShadowGear Army has very few requirements for membership. You won't find a laundry list of things you must have or be, like other guilds. What we do require, is:
- Intelligent, active, quick learning, and fun loving members
- Dedication to raid times. This means showing up, ON TIME, to all required raids. Current raid times are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:30pm to 11pm EST.
- Ventrillo for required raids. Communication is paramount in any successful guild. We ask that you download Ventrillo and have a working microphone. You don't have to talk a lot if you don't want to, but if a raid leader needs a quick answer to a question, we expect that you have the ability to answer in voice chat.
- We only require two WoW mods. Deadly Boss Mods and Omen. Healbot is suggested (even for non-healers) but is not required.
- A basic understanding of all instanced dungeon boss fights. This doesn't mean you have to be an expert at each fight, but if you're going to be attending a raid, we'd like for you to know the basics of the boss fights before hand. We'll be more than happy to tell you how we handle each fight, but we don't want to have to take the time to explain everything to one person. It holds up everyone else who already knows the fight. Please just take a few moments to read over or watch videos of the abilities and strategies for boss fights.
Whichever way you choose to serve, the following steps towards enlisting will help make your transition into the ShadowGear Army easier.
- Go to the "Guild Recruitment" tab. There you will be instructed on how to fill out an application.
- Fill out an application and submit it

The more time you put into your application the more willing we'll be to consider you as an applicant. Once you fill out an application, an officer will be in contact with you. Either on the forums or in-game directly.
